Comments/Input/Review Goals
The 3 Learning Community Workgroup areas are experiential learning, youth entrepreneurship and curriculum.
Our workgroup will focus on best practices and strategic recommendations.
Kathy Conklin will invite Eugene Pierce and Gary Dupon to join our workgroup. Gene’s contact information is: Tuscola ISD, 1385 Cleaver Rd., Caro, MI 48723-9376.
Toni stressed the importance of having high school instructors who teach entrepreneurship on the workgroup, namely Kelly Williams of DeWitt, High School. LaVella will email Kelly to determine if she is willing to join the group.
Next Steps:
- Identify youth entrepreneurship resources that are in the WIRED region.
- Develop a collaboration strategy to utilize resources.
- If individuals have a list of Best Practices, hold on to them until we are given parameters for collecting this information for the Learning Community website.
- Management of website will be discussed at a later meeting.
- Karen Bantel will invite Cassie Alley of Prima Civitas to be a part of our February 14 conversation.
- Kathy Conkin needs to confirm participation of Eugene Pierce and Gary Dupon.
