Get Involved with the
Learning Communities
There are a number of ways you and your organization can become a part of the Learning Communities.
Meet
Start by attending our next meeting(s). Click here for early planning outcomes from the first meetings, including information on attendees and speakers, as well as the industry-specific priorities and strategies outlined by each Learning Community.
Learn
A central focus of the Learning Communities includes highlighting promising industry practices -- examples of innovative, collaborative approaches to our challenged regional economy. Review our list of such efforts in healthcare or advanced manufacturing, including links to the organizations fostering these successes.
We are also seeking further examples of promising practices in advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. Please click on the links above to have your organization featured, or to let us know about examples of innovation, collaboration and successful economic adapation in our region. We'll post information about these efforts on our website, and include them in our roster of presenters at meetings.
Collaborate
The Learning Communities were developed to leverage the assets and strengths of our region and industries. With so many workforce- and economic-development efforts throughout the area, there is a real need for this network to align these efforts to prevent overlap, depletion of resources and unnecessary duplication.
Collaboration is a powerful tool. If you are seeking partners for your program, grant, association or other efforts - please contact us to let us know how we can help, join our Learning Communities efforts, and/or to seek out opportunities to join forces with others in your industry and region.
